The Witcher franchise has had a very busy past few years.
Its third game, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, is a stunningly gorgeous game that takes place in the medieval city of Novigrad.
The Witcher: Wild hunt, however, is the first game to take place in a post-apocalyptic future and it’s a big deal for fans.
The game will add new content to the Witcher universe.
Its DLC will give players new companions, new weapons, and new quests to explore.
Geralt will be able to craft new armor, mounts, and more, making him one of the most powerful characters in the series.
And yes, this is a big announcement for fans, too.
The DLC will be free to download on PC and Xbox One, and players will be awarded a limited edition Witcher 3 bundle, which includes The Witcher III: Wild West, The Last Wish, and The Witcher 4: The Eternal Conflict.
What’s more, there’s a Witcher 3 expansion that’s currently in development, called Wild Hunt.
It’ll add new characters, more quests, and even more lore to the game.
This new expansion will also feature a new playable character, Gwent, and a new map.
Players will be invited to the developer’s offices for a hands-on preview of the new content, and it’ll be available for download at the end of September.
For those that haven’t played The Witcher before, it’s one of a handful of games in the franchise that offers a deep, story-driven RPG experience.
Here’s what you need to know about The Witcher and the upcoming DLC.
The first Witcher The Witcher was created by Andrzej Sapkowski, the Polish-born creator of Witcher games like Hearts of Stone and The Last of Us.
He was responsible for some of the game’s best-known characters like Geralt of Rivia, a mercenary with a deep sense of justice, and the enigmatic Nilfgaardian princess, Ciri.
Sapkowski died in 2014, but his stories and creations live on in The Witcher.
Geralts first adventure will take place between The Witcher 1 and The Wild Hunt, which was published in 2010.
He’ll be returning to the role of Geralt in The Last Of Us, which will be released on August 26.
Players can play The Last Wild Hunt on PS4 and Xbox Scorpio.
It’s available for free on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
It will be followed by The Witcher II: Assassins Of Kings, which is released in October.
It features the same story and art style as The Witcher games, but it takes place at an entirely different time in the timeline.
That means it’ll take place over the course of three years instead of three games.
Players have already played some of The Witcher’s DLC through Steam, so players will get to experience some of this content in The Wild hunt as well.
Geraltz’s first major quest will be to find and defeat the mysterious sorceress Geralt.
This quest will lead players to a mysterious castle called Novigrads castle.
Gerald will be forced to fight off his enemies and defeat her.
This is the Witcher’s first time in an open world and it will be interesting to see how Geralt deals with this new environment.
Wild Hunt will add more content to The Witcher universe Players will also be able fight off new enemies and enemies will appear in locations that were previously inaccessible.
The final boss of The Last War will be an undead king called Neltharion.
It looks like the game will get a lot of new enemies in The Next of Kin, the next expansion to The Last Witcher.
Players won’t be able kill these undead kingpins in The Final War, but they will encounter them as part of the story.
Geralta’s first quest will involve investigating the disappearance of a young woman named Yennefer.
She’s being held captive by a group of men who want her to reveal the whereabouts of her father, the legendary Witcher Geralt, and his lover, Yennef.
Geralf and Yennefs father, Gwyn, are on a mission to reclaim Yennefyre from the undead.
The First Order and its forces are also involved, so Geralt and his team must get to Yenneflors father in order to save her.
Players may have seen spoilers in The First War, so here’s the big news: Geralt has been resurrected and is now the rightful king of the Wild Hunt and has a quest to destroy the First Order.
This will be the third game in the Witcher franchise to have an open-world story and will take Geralt through several new areas, some of which will contain new content.
Players also will be getting to experience more of the Witcher world from a new perspective.
Players who have played the previous game will feel right at home in The Third War, which takes place between the second and third Witcher games.
The Third is set in the near future
